Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.( Romans 12:2)
I think it is safe to say most Christians want a mindset of positivity and Godly things.
But how do we get a mindset like that? How do we have positive , creative, and Godly thoughts?
Truth is …it’s a day by day process. Making changes in your life everyday.
Pay attention to the movies you watch or the books you read. Do they fill your mind with knowledge or things of this world?
What about your friends? Are they supporting you? Are they negative toward your creative thinking?
To change your mindset you have to change what you put into your mind. Everything you look at or hear goes straight into mind for it to process.
To have a mind that is not of this world , you have to be different from people that are conformed to the world.
My grandmother tells me the same thing all of the time and that we should be careful with what we allow ourselves to watch and hear.
Yes! Take everything back to the plumb line of God’s Truth. ❤
I love this! So many people think that once you become a Christian your mind just changes automatically but it does not. You have to feed it the right things through our senses, and that is how you truly have a transformed mind. Liking and sharing this. Blessings.
Thank you! Yes this is what I struggle with the most is my mind! But God can give us a renewed mind !!
“You who have in your heart the desire to obtain something better than what the world can give, recognize in this need the voice of God speaking to your mind.” Ellen G. White
Firstly I would like to say thanks for visiting and following my blog.
Secondly, I agree with what you wrote about your thoughts. You are so right that we really need to vigilant about what we let into our minds. What we allow in our minds has such an impact on our lives.
Very good encouragement!
This was terrifically thoughtful! Glad I found your blog! 🙂
