Stagnant

Why do we stay in the same place ?

Do we not feel the need to push ahead or grow?

Do we just not want greater things in life?

I refuse to think that. I do not think we want everyday to be the same. Or every week be the same. We just get through Monday to Friday , and get excited about the weekend. Then we dread when Monday rolls around. We complain about it ,but Majority of people do nothing to change their own life.

Why do we complain ,but do nothing about it?

One reason I struggle with this is being unmotivated. I always plan to Accomplish so much within a week ,but never do. I loose energy and focus.

So I have to ask myself…

Where are you putting your energy and focus?

Often my energy and focus is on others. When I finally have time to myself I want to relax. Sometimes we have to be a little selfish with our time and energy. We need to at times put ourselves first to get things accomplished. When we do have time to ourselves do not take it for granted. Use it wisely. Time is something you can not get back. I had to learn this the hard way. I wasted so many days on things that are not important.

Making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. – Ephesians 5:16

Another reason why we want to stay stagnant is fear. We so often fear of things that haven’t even come to past. We fear so much about days to come that we lose sight today. We also fear change. We get Frighten about what Responsibility we might have if we grow. The truth is God wouldn’t give you more than you can handle. He gave you Specifically certain gifts, tasks, plans , dreams , visions , and purpose. He choose you for those things ,because He knows what you can handle ,and what is best for you as a person. Trust in the Lord as He guides you down the path He wants you to take. Your end will be greater than your Beginning.

Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase. – Job 8:7

The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former,’ saith the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place will I give peace,’ saith the Lord of hosts. – Haggai 2:9

But forget all that it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do a brand-new thing. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it ? I will make a pathway through the wilderness for my people to come home. I will create rivers for them in the desert! – Isaiah 44:18-19

No , dear brothers and sisters , I am still not all I should be ,but I am focusing all my energies on one thing: forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead . I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God , through Christ Jesus , is calling us up to heaven. – Philippians 3:13-14

  1. Yes, this is so true! God will do a new thing, if we allow him to move on our behalf. He will provide rivers in the desert; however, we must believe and stand on all that he has promised he will do for us! Great message! Thank you for allowing God to pour out of you his WORD!

  2. I am the same way! I feel like most times I get so caught up in worrying about what’s going to happen tomorrow or in the future that I lose sight of right now and making the most of my time. I often feel unhappy with a mundane, day-to-day routine and often wish I had more fulfilling things in life such as a better job, a different apartment, etc. Times like this make me appreciate scripture and the relationship we have in Jesus because nothing else can fulfill us like He can.
